Green Web Hosting?

AISO.net boasts of an environmentally-friendly and affordable web-hosting service. It's facilities are on solar-generated power, water-cooled, and uses air-cooling technology. AISO estimates that  its use of solar power (120 solar panels) alone eliminates the production of 34, 448 lbs of Carbon Dioxide, 50.6 lbs. of Nitrogen Oxide, and 37.4 lbs. of sulfate. How cool is that? It's like "planting 8 acres of trees per year or driving a vehicle for 38,216 miles per year."

Alternative Consumer reports that LooptWorks, the Oregon-based eco-fashion company has come up with innovative ways to upcycle or reuse "pre-consumer" textile (the unused portions of textile or fabric discarded in garments manufacturing) and fashion these into durable, earth-friendly, and stylish apparel. Read the article "Closing The Loop On Waste" at Alternative Consumer or take a peek at the stylish green creations over at LooptWorks.
